Voices of Equity: Addressing America’s Racial Equity Crisis
“Voices of Equity: Addressing America’s racial equity crisis through inclusive research & unifying language” uncovers findings from a recent study aimed at understanding the importance of various social causes and how Americans engage with these issues and the language behind them. Our survey explored:
• The common themes Americans collectively care about as well as the movements that unite vs. divide us.
• The realities of hashtag advocacy within the social media stratosphere and how the use of hashtags can confuse, divide, and even alienate the very groups they intend to engage.
• The awareness and fluency on the language of diversity and how this drives the emotional association of long-established as well as newly emerging vernacular.
• The influence of social media and news consumption on our experiential perspectives and their impact on our relationship with others.
